While folks in Santa Monica CA flock to the ice skating rink, folks in Australia are awaiting the results of the Melbourne Cup race which will be held Tuesday.

While walking on Lincoln Blvd., earlier this week, we had a great car-spotting moment. Unfortunately we did not have our digital camera (that uses floppy disks) when we spotted a 1927 four door phaeton Bentley that was British Racing Green. Oh well, maybe if we carry our camera with us every day, then the next time we see it . . .
We were told that this was a Sparrow and that in 2000 the Corbin Motors company made three hundred of them.
This ArtCar was spotted in Berkeley on September 29, 2009, just after they had a gathering of ArtCars in conjunction with the montly last Sunday music celebration. Apparently this vehicle started out as a Dodge van. Now, it’s quite different.
