On Sunday, June 27, 2010, we got photos of this V-dub which is part of the Loaf Love Tour of the USA. They were in Berekeley visiting the Berkeley Bowl.

While walking back from breakfast today (Saturday June 26, 2010) we spotted this flyer seeking a new home for a 120 lbs. panther. It seems that the poor cat, who lives on a 6 acre ranch in Ca., needs a new home.
They posted an e-mail address and so we will help the cat (possibly) find a new mommy and daddy. It’s an e-mail address at the ATT net and the name is redpanther36.
Isn’t “Panthers need love” a solid Oakland sentiment for many years?
When we learned that the Beat Museum in San Francisco will feature an “On the Road” around the world theme display this summer, we thought we’d revive an old photo prjoject and take something around the world and photograph it in famous places. We took this photo at People’s Park in Berkeley CA. Taking a photo with two centers of interest is a very big challenge. We didn’t think this was a very good photo so it seems likely we will scrap the idea.
When the Arnieville budget cuts portest returned to Berkeley CA on Monday, Alex Tracy was there shooting for Demotix.com.
We’ll save you the trouble of doing the Google search. To see his photos, click here:
When we first started this photo blog we were using the Just Above Sunset Photo site’s summer intern camera which uses floppy disks to store images. Hence the name “Floppy Photos.”
We’ve upgraded to a Nikon Coolpix camera and are enjoying the heck out of it. Don’t have to worry about running out of floppy disks in the middle of a shoot!
Now, the big problem is where to take the new camera next?
France and Germany?
Back to Kalgoorlie?
Tune in again next time or post suggestions.
