SPHS ’61 moment in SF

June 17, 2010

We were walking around in San Francisco’s Union Park district Wednesday, June 16, 2010, when we came upon an art gallery that caught our eye.  When we were in high school, one of the guys was always saying:  “I looked in the window and I saw James Dean’s face . . . and it was wonderful!”  There was an image in the SF art gallery window that caused us to have a high school flashback moment.

The guy was named Harold Hartshorn but we all called him “Hotch.”  Neither he nor anyone else ever seemed to know what that word meant or how he got that particular nickname.

Maybe someday he’ll do a Google search for his own name and find this blog post?
